Certified Quality

Zafaran Cuore Rosso di Nepi subjects its products to rigorous analytical testing and relies on the University of Rome Tor Vergata for ongoing, thorough monitoring of the quality and safety of its products, thereby obtaining the most prestigious quality certifications.

Quality Certification

To verify the exceptional quality and authenticity of our saffron, we have chosen to have our product undergo quality testing in accordance with the ISO 3632-2:2010 standard, relying on ILAC-MRA and Accredia-certified laboratories: Lab No. 0338 L.

For the saffron from the latest 2020 harvest, we have also achieved Category I, the highest quality rating for all analyzable standards (bittering power, coloring power, and aromatic power).

Organic

To ensure a product of the highest quality and authenticity, we decided from the very beginning of our journey to adopt ORGANIC farming methods, in compliance with the EU Regulation on organic production (Reg. EC 834/2007). Our saffron and bulbs have therefore been certified as organic by Bioagricert, the MIPAF-accredited certification body: IT BIO 007 S67K.

This provides an additional guarantee of authenticity and healthiness for the discerning consumer.
